Music Ministry

The mission of Music Ministry at ST. Thomas More is to enhance and deepen the worship experience for every person present! The Church calls us to a full and conscious participation in the liturgy through prayer, spoken word, and song. What we say in our words, we believe in our hearts. At STM, music is selected from a variety of styles and genres including folk, traditional, contemporary, and praise and worship music. Please contact Sarah Burton, Music Ministry Coordinator, for more information or to join one of our musical ensembles! You can reach Sarah by calling (434) 237-5911 - ext 208 or by emailing music@stmva.org

ABOUT THE PIANO In December of 2006, as the result of a gift from Steve and Evelyn St. Armand, Saint Thomas More Catholic Church acquired a grand piano built by one of the world's premiere piano! builders, Steinway & Sons of New York, New York. From its splendi d action to its exquisite tonal specifications, it reflects the genius of master craftsmen. The instrument allows for a wide range of expression.
